ADMISSION PROCEDURE

St, Stephen's Group of Schools are following ICSE curriculum

Application for admission is to be made in the prescribed form available along withthe prospectus issued as per the school notice during November.

Detailed information regarding admissions may be obtained from the notice board from the month of November. Information may also be obtained from the school office but not over telephone,.

Admissions are usually carried out for the Pre Nursery onwards, on fulfilling basic criteria. It is expected that all information provided in the forms should be accurate because any subsequent change shall not be permitted and should any false information be detected, the said application shall be rejected.

Short listed candidates are called for interview/admission tests.

Candidates are examined on the basis of the attained standards in the previous grade of the class into which admission is sought. During interview both the Parents are expected to attend.

The final step for admission will be the filling in of the Admission Form. All the data provided ought to be accurate and any discrepancy, in this regard, shall go against the candidate's rights of admission.

Respective Parents / Guardians are advised not to fall prey to touts or any such person or persons claiming to be representatives of the School Authorities. The school shall not be held responsible for any individual fall prey to any such adverse situation.

The eligibility of the age for a child to get admission to the nursery class is 4+ as on 1st March of the academic session for which the admission is sought.

For admission into Pre Nursery class in some of our branches, the eligible age of a child is 3+ years as on I st March.

For Provisional Admission in Class XI (ISC), the Notice Board needs to be referred to in February. Initial and conditional admission to any of the Science, Commerce of Humanities streams of class XI (ISC) is done by the School Authorities but permanent admission is done after ratification from the council (CICSE)

Documents are required to be submitted with the admission / Registration Form

Duly attested photocopy of Panchayat Municipality / Municipal Hospital or Corporation or Hospital / Nursing Home Birth Certificate and or affidavit provided that the registration has been done within a year of the child's birth admission to classes Pre Nursery to 1. Christian candidate' must submit a copy of the Baptism Certificate duly attested by the Parish Priest/Presbyter-in-charge for all classes.

One recent passport size colour photograph of each of the candidate and his/her parents /legal guardians.

For legal guardians, relevant attested proof must be submitted

Transfer certificate for admission into Classes II to VIII, issued from a School (recognized by the Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal) in which the candidate last studied.

Admission to class XI requires approval from the Council for The Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

For all inter-state transfer cases, the Transfer Certificate MUST be countersigned by the appropriate Education Officer of the council (New Delhi).

As per ICSE Council (New Delhi) norm academic session will start from 1st, April every year,

Books & copies -- Standard books and copies will be supplied by the school.

Hymn Book (sweet sound) will be supplied by the school.

Date of Admission will be notified from the office.
